Like 1996, 98 started out with uncertainty. Where was the sound going to travel next. Instead of going further down the "evolving your musical style" road, the farries decide to clean up and detail their already taken path. With the absence of Elizabeth (a very important piece of farries pop sound), the farries escapade in to molesting pop was limited (so they thought at the time). Also with the investment of digital recording, editing, and CD duplication at there disposal...the kissing farries didn't have time to end 98 and start 99 with adventure. Instead they started to hone their skills.
However, don't let Incogneato fool you. This album has the gut blasting humor of the debut album mixed with the pop sound of zippersniffer. ANd thanks to technology and age the Farries sound has started to become elaborate, full, and bodied.
