Think im in love pt.3- The original versions of this song started back in 1995. This is the farries central love theme and is only recorded at the right time and inspiration. The pre-quil and other 2 versions were either about Elizabeth or instrumental. In Part 3, the farries sampled Lindsay's voice (without her knowing) and it really is the staple in the heart when listening to this album. The lyrics are pretty straight up. But i think this song represents "what wont kill you, makes you stronger!" The lyrics, "some broken thoughts and my heart just rots, but my love will sustain." or "I feel like a second wife and a separate life" represents that you can keep breaking my heart but i will eventually find the love of my life...one who i can give my passion to and have it be returned. THATS WHAT WAS BUILDING in tubars head....all this passion he has and the life he in-visions is not returned to him by Lindsay and Elizabeth. I think this song has as much to do with Elizabeth as it does with Lindsay.
Redrover- was the song that foreshadowed the farries next musical evolution. This song was less poppy, more dance orientated, and traded puppy dog, true love, nice guy, (what ever you want to call the love tubar had for elizabeth and Lindsay) for a lustful, less meaningful experience. The lyrics are less lovely and more lusty.
Dancing with the tulips- shows tubars frustration with the vision. He was trying to say, "Hey, if i stay in hear any longer, i will loose myself and my mind. The lyrics, "inside my head i grow and when i stop ill never know." and "I believe in a true love, a tulip." best represent tubar coming apart at the seems.
Pheromones- Have you ever started kissing someone, left your head, and just let the moment take care of the movements. Do you ever wonder why you can kiss some people with no movement problems and others its like getting to mexico without a map. Pheromones help you. Its not that perfume shes wearing that gets you going even faster when you kiss her neck--its her release of pheromones.
Dreaming behavior- was the last song recorded during the pensive project sessions. by that time tubar had expressed everything he needed to say and he just wanted to give his own advice. "Just burn her pictures and let her leave your head!" This song is another lets have a conversation inside your head song by the farries. Think of what that does to tubar mentally. I mean first you have tubar the real person. Thats 1 identity. Then, you have the identify in love with Lindsay and another identity saying get over it. Thats a lot of different mental thought in the mind of one person...
Erotic F**K Music.
It was time to take pop and puppy dog love to a new level and/or throw it out the fucking window. Lyrically the farries wanted to say, enough with this getting hurt shit...lets trade love for lust and making love to having sex. Those two concepts of the farries are very different (love and sex). Love is made with the mind, body and soul. Sex is made with the body.
Full collapse in focus- was a full collapse in the old tubar and the building of a new tubar. It was a full collapse in tubars theory of love for the building of lust...no longer was tubar going to be the one with un-returned love. He will get what he gives. If he gives just sex then thats what he wants in return just sex. Then when the sex stops no one gets hurt...right....he thought so....
Yitnu- The groove is laid back and almost trance inducing. Ytinu Is Unity backwards...maybe the love theory isn't dead in tubars mind. This is another sign of the vision. the vision is reminding tubar that even though its just sex...a person passionate in bed can be just as passionate out of bed. Wrong, not when its just sex.
Cracked up shacked up put up and spit up- this song pretty much describes tubars high school life and how his experiences are still as much apart of him today as they were then.
Clash on fashion- is about noel diggerman and how a some what typical hoodlum can get a bum rap in a small town. Please note the story which depicts a arson scene is fictional. I was not there and i know nothing.
Exchanging faces- shows tubars jealousy of how greasy, preppie, stuck in the 80's, women beating, guys still gets girls and tubar doesnt....ohhhhh i feel bad for tubar. I do like the line "I bet you cum for the pleasure like a typical man!" The tile means tubar wish he could be the bad guy for once so he can get the bad girl, who never wants the good guy.
46 floors- starts with a hooker about to commit suicide infront of her rich client on the roof of a 46 floor hotel. And tubar resents he never felt like this?!. I dont know if he wants to be the girl or the boy? The lyrics, "Its like a mint-ee fresh feeling i never get." best support that idea. Then the chorus lyrics come in and you still dont know who he wants to be and why he wants to be in this situation. Maybe he wants to be anywhere but in love.
Channel surfin Atari- was re-recorded along with tiedied for this album. Both were originally done on the original zippersniffer album. However the quality is much better on EFM. This song is the smoke pot dont drink anthem. "Drinking Destroys the fire."
Tiedied- This song represents the role playing done by the vision. The girl who takes her tiedie is Elizabeth and the hippie from the sky is Jim morrison.
Hearts desire- Is tubars frustration with the direction his small town is heading and his confrontation with achieving his dream.
Callous- is a great song. Tubar blames trading his puppy dog love for lust on the fear of an ABC late night mini series. If the farries made it big, over 50% of the songs are about the vision. The vision is inspired by Elizabeth and the pensive project was inspired by Lindsay. According to the song they would sell the rights of the love story to ABC, NBC, CBS, HBO, or whatever. The lyrics, "She took my heart with no inspiration and sold are story to the television"
