Sailing Section

The sailing section of the DRBC sails a varity of yachts including the International One Meter (IOM), Radio Marbleheads and the locally designed and produced Shipmate. Although also a yacht the RCLasers have their own section in the club! All of these great photos taken by Sheldon McGlone

Norrie Taylor has now finished the Stealth IOM which he launched in early January and all being well will be organizing production in his spare time – well done Norrie.

Ray Cockrell IOM 46 'Whale' design has the water on Joe Robertse IOM 90 'Frog' design, who goes the long way round on the gybe mark in the DRBC Club Championships for 2002. Joe finished up 4th overall with Ray filling 5th position

The fleet of IOMs seen on the first beat at the DRBC Club Championships for 2002. The championships were sailed earlier in the year at the Pond in Durban. Des Fairbank from the Maritzburg Radio Sailing Club was the overall winner and was declared to be the Club Champion for 2002. Norrie Taylor was runner up sailing a 'Rage' design IOM and Sheldon McGlone finished in 3rd position.
