The Mon are a peaceful people, as they are Buddhist. They are in fact devout Buddhist and were once some the most moral and discipline of all Buddhists. Their old Kingdom Hangsawatoi, and their other older Kingdoms of Dwarawati, Sudhammawatoi, and Hariphunchai, were one of the most peaceful in all of Asia. I regret to say that I really don't have much information on the Mon people. There are very few sources on the Internet and only small paragraphs in some encyclopedias, so this is what I have gathered so far. (Please excuse me if you believe that any of my information is incorrect.)
