Anual World Monopoly convention held in Birmingham
At the convention monopoly fanatics from around the world gathered in the Birmingham Exibition Center for the anual convention. There were stalls from every country selling monopoly boards and collectobles from every country. At the end of the convention there was the usual auction where many antique collectables went under the hammer, including a first edition of the UK monopoly board which went to a UK collector for £1,245,000.
Next years convention is to be held in New York.

Monopoly UK has a new chairman
Monopoly UK plc. now has a new chairman, Mr Ian Percy Freely. Mr Freely assumed control of the company on 1st March 2004 and is incharge of all UK operations of the company.
My Freely has been with the company for 17 years starting off as a company help line call center agent and he rapidly moved up the lader to become Customer service Director in 2000, where he implimented many initatives which won the company customer service awards.
