Eight Grade Dance

Northwood Middle School

2004

Oh Boy! Just a few more days!

This was taken in our living room just after Kenzi had gotten her prom dress. She was very excited. She got new shoes too.

Low cut back!

It was as pretty from the back as it was from the front. Particularly flattering to her hair style.

Check out the shoes!

The white high heels made her almost as tall as her Dad and the manicure and pedicure she got were the finishing touches.

The dance was a fantastic success.  The decorations made the cafeteria look like a New York plaza with the Twin Towers in the background, thanks to Mrs. Penne Thompson who was the decorator of our dance.

Mr. Sam Bigby was the DJ of our dance.  He was very good at knowing when to slow things down and when to speed things up with different songs.  One of the songs he played a couple of times was "Yeah" by Usher featuring Lil' Jon and Ludacris.

My friends Buck, Justin, Robert, Laura, Zach, Britney, Alyse, Jessica, Lauren, Bekah, Allison, Lindsay, Katie, and Ryan were there to enjoy the party.  The dance was from 7 to 10 PM which was longer than all of the other dances that Northwood Middle had had that year.  Kenzi commented, "The dance went by so fast, that I hardly remembered what was happening."

This is Kenzi at her End Of Year 8th Grade Dance.  From left to right her friends are Amanda, Allison, Kenzi, (Behind) Kevin and Justin, Taylor, Buck, Shania, Bekah, Jessica, and in front is Jenny.  This is where she met her boyfriend Justin.

This is Kenzi with her friends Buck and in the back Justin.  They were a little troupĂ© at the dance.

This is Kenzi posing for her father in front of the New York display with the American Flag background the school set up for decorations.  She was wearing her light blue halter top dress.  She loved the dance because it was one of the last days she could hang out with all of her Middle school friends.

Kenzi and her Dad have a picture made by the American flag. The New York setting made the cafeteria really look like a big city.
