                                             Map Study: Germanic Tribes in Western Europe

                                Thy Objective:

                                       Given a blank map of Western Europe, ye must locate and label the places
                                       of settlement of specifically named Germanic tribes (All labels are to be
                                       printed in black or blue quill, unless otherwise indicated).

                                This Map Challenge challenge requires a skill all travelers of the realm must
                                       have geographic knowledge of the kingdom.   Ye might easily find thyself
                                       in foreign lands without knowledge of thy position, if ye have not good
                                       charts for thy journey.   Use the reference map packet, which His Majesty's
                                       Keeper of the Charts will give ye.
 

                             Plot the following territorial lands:

                                         Burgundians
                                         Franks
                                         Frisians
                                         Gepids
                                         Lombards
                                         Ostragoths

                                         Welsh

                                      Locate, label, and shade GOLD the Byzantine Empire.

                                      Locate, label, and shade GREEN the area of the Celtic Kingdoms.

                                     Shade the Anglo-Saxon area RED.

                                     Shade the Frankish Kingdom BLUE.

                                     Shade the Burgundian settlement area PURPLE.

                                     Label in BLUE (but DO NOT SHADE) the North Sea, Atlantic Ocean,
                                      Mediterranean Sea, and the Black Sea.
