Department of Education (Southern High School) P.O. Box DE Hagatna, Guam 96932.  Position Title: Computer Teacher IV, Department Chairperson Computer Department

Supervisor:  Johnny Rivera, Principal, Southern High School.

          Duties: 

Maintain/prepare lesson plan consisting of teaching internet/email and video conferencing/vdo phone/big picture using the vdo phone teleconferencing and media man computer with a 37” monitor and 10 gigs of disk space.  Setup the media man for installation of hardware and software for my lesson plan.  Setup the VDO conferencing on five media man CPU’s.  Grade all students for the quarter and semester final grade.  Students are 9th grade – 12th grade.  Input all attendance, grades, tardiness, absences and total grades on teachers grade book and excel programs via integrated Columbia school grading system.

I teach HTML PROGRAMMING AND JAVA PROGRAMMING VIA CREATING A WEBPAGE/HOMEPAGE.

Seating arrangements are provided for all students in the computer room and listed on the seating chart.  Installation of hardware and software and troubleshooting taught to the students.

Provide Inventory Listing of all computers in the computer department.

Supervisor: Thad Mamalio  Duties: Maintain and prepare schematic; relocate all equipment to ensure site is properly such as cooling, wiring, etc. prior to installation and testing; list all serial numbers of computer equipment and software for inventory purpose; provide hardware and software support for Central Office as well as 36 public schools; prepare the construction of coaxial cables/twisted pairs, crimping connector for installation to concentrators, hubs, routers and personal computers for  the LAN/AS400; install various LAN cards, LAN software, PCI card, video conferencing equipment and installations of all hardware and software; install and test concentrators, modems, data circuit, cables and supporting software; install and maintain communications equipment and personal computers.  Making it necessary for connections for file servers; work and research using publication, catalogs, and other media for purchase requisitions; prepare inventory for all new FSAIS equipments received for various school; provide technical support to the customers/users on the LAN and standalone computers and related work in automation support; Label LAN lines and AS-400 cables connection; update virus programs and survey equipment for upgrading hardware and software; perform trouble call support to various customers; make recommendations on repairs or replacements of PC systems and related equipments; Initiate troubleshooting and take corrective action as required; install Internet and AS-400 TNHOST connection for P.C.’s;
