About Lauralbriar

Lauralbriar was first registered in 1978 shortly after the arrival of my first whippet, Ch. Neverland's Ebb Tide.  Christy was the "gift that kept on giving"!  She was an adorable and loving companion and opened the door to a whole new world and I've never looked back.  Life without whippets would be unthinkable and I continue to admire and be fascinated by this wonderful breed - elegance, athletic function and  a loving and gentle nature with all!

Christy was always a sun worshiper - and a beautiful girl who is still very much missed.  She passed away at the age of 14 and though it's long ago, I remember her always with love

An old and somewhat unusual picture!  Christy is pictured above with "Thumper", my son's pet rabbit in the beginning of the 1980's - she may have chased them in the field, but in the house, Thumper was a playmate and friend

Above is Cal, also known as Ch. Ashgrove Excalibur - another from the old days.  Cal was an energetic and happy boy, unless he had to go to a dog show!  But he lived out his life having fun everyday!

Wally was the much loved boy of Lynn, Gerald and Cyndi of St. John's, Newfoundland

Thank you so much for the wonderful home and love you gave one of our kids!

Things have changed at Lauralbriar over the last few years - no longer actively involved in breeding, but with a keen interest in coursing and racing, and still the same love of the breed, I would be most happy to help with any and all questions regarding the Whippet and the fun that can be had with them!  Breeding however, will be limited to co-breedings overseas, while in North America, I would be happy to refer serious inquiries to responsible breeders.
