Residents Survey

Kingsway Residents Association Newsletters

Meetings are open to all Kingsway residents

and will be held on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

(In the Community room next to the laundry)
Councillors and Council Officers are usually present.

Please feel free to come along to meetings!

The opportunity is there for YOU to have your say, if you have an important issue, write it down and turn up.

The more people who take an active interest the more good things we can get done at Kingsway. You don’t have to say anything at all, but it is a good way to meet housing officers and councillors

Ideas for the future

The Survey!
Present our survey results to the councilors and the council. Ofcourse everybody understands that any major work can only be done within budgetary constraints. But we may as well be hopefull.

From time to time you should get surveys from the council through the post. One has gone out lately, please be sure to take the time to fill it in and let the council know what you think!

What has happened recently

Lighting has been installed.

Some of you will have noticed the new lights. There are five new light units on the walls around the flats and a new lamppost with two lights overlooking the car park. The money came form a safer city grant applied for by the residents association.

New Signs.

The interior signs were designed by the residents association. The main signs were the work of Nacer Dali, our local housing officer. Many people have said that the writing is too small, I have to agree. The residents group did not get an opportunity to look at them until they were put up.

Have you noticed the flats seem a lot cleaner lately? It is a difficult job to keep on top of the cleaning at Kingsway. Dave Lockerie has been doing a good job as have the area Rangers and StreetScene services. We as residents must do our bit by keeping the areas close to our front doors clean and by taking the time to make sure our rubbish is disposed of properly.

Stock Options!

The Council is looking at the possibility of changing the way our homes are managed. This is nothing to worry about. Your Area elected tenant is Chris Christofis who lives at Kingsway flats and is on your residents committee. Chris says he plans to find out all he can and make sure that every resident gets to know about it and have their say.
