General: Very friendly, loyal and playful. Loves to follow me around. Loves to sleep eat and play all day. She hates to take baths and does not like cats.

When I first decided to get a pet rat I went to the pet store and got a book on them. I was amazed by what I learned, so much stuff to know. About two months later I went to several pet stores looking for a young female rat. After looking for an hour or two I saw her and three others in a small cage at my local pet store. The lady there took one of the females out and allowed me to hold her. She told me they were about 8 weeks old (you should not get a rat if it has not been separated from the other gender by the age of six weeks), and some other things I would need to know. So about 20 min later I took her home. For the rest of the day I stayed with her and decided on a name, Sasami. For the next few days we learned to trust and play with one another, we became best of friends.
