The Hilo Junior Bowling Club has a history that most other bowling clubs strive for. We have had bowlers come through our club that have gone on to become professional bowlers as well as great league bowlers. Some have gone on to other things beside bowling, but most remember where they came from. We will post the junior bowling accomplishments of some of our outstanding members.
COREY ZUKERAN (still a junior bowler) Certified YABA Coach (As a Junior Bowler), first Hilo Junior Bowler to bowl a 700 in Hilo, THANKSGIVING Tournament 1996-1st place scratch team, 1st place OJBT team, highest placing outer island bowler in the Aiea Singles, 2nd place in the Hilo Junior Bowler's Match-Game Championships-1995, only Hilo team to place 1st in the GOYABA citywide tournament. RONALD LEE-jr. bowler until 1995 Only Hilo team to place 1st in the GOYABA citywide tournament, Hilo Junior Bowlers invitational Thanksgiving Tournament scratch team champion CLAIRE SUMITANI-jr. bowler until 1999 Only Hilo team to place 1st in the GOYABA citywide tournament, THANKSGIVING Tournament 1996-1st place scratch team JEFFREY SUMITANI-jr. bowler until 1996 Only Hilo team to place 1st in the GOYABA citywide tournament, THANKSGIVING Tournament 1996-1st place scratch team, 3 time OJBT singles champion, only Hilo Junior Bowler Coca-cola Nationals state champion-scratch division, only junior bowler to win the Hilo Junior Bowlers match-game championships, one 299 game, one 300 game, OJTL Team champion BRYSON TOMA 2nd place state finalist in the coca-cola national tournament ALYSSA YAGI 1st place state finalist in the coca-cola national tournament DAWN FUKE 1st place state finalist in the coca-cola national tournament |
