Bret Hart
has been examined by doctors and subjected to a variety
of tests after a bicycle accident on Monday. The 44 year
old Canadian legend reportedly landed on the back of his
head, and with his career coming to a premature end as a
result of a concussion, the doctors are being extra
careful with him.
Bret's
official Mailing List sent out this statement regarding
the incident :
"June
25, 2002 "Anyone who is a regular reader of my
columns knows that I enjoy riding my bike around town
here in Calgary. Well, yesterday I took a tumble and
since I retired due to a career ending concussion the
docs are checking me over as a precautionary measure.
"I mention it only because I've heard there are
already exaggerated versions of what happened
circulating and I don't want my family, friends and fans
to be unnecessarily alarmed. "Thank you all for
