My Stories BOOK REPORT When I was in 3rd or 4th grade we had a list of heroes to choose from to write a report, I picked Lou Gehrig. When doctors told me I had Lou Gehrig's disease I knew what it was. It took me a while to remember that report, now looking back I remember my grandmother taking me to the library. I guess God was trying to prepare me. SHOPPING Years ago I was at Rivergate Mall to do some Christmas shopping, waiting on a parking space. Finally found one far away from the door. Beside me was a short school bus, it wasn't in a handicap parking space. When I got to my car to leave. There was a not so nice note on my windshield saying it was for kids in wheelchairs & it was difficult to get them in the bus & hopes one day I would be in a wheelchair, so I would know how it feels. I felt terrible & I cried all the way home. Years later here I am, confined to a wheelchair. Go Back
