A BIG Welcome back for our returning cubs Devyn, DJ, Dakota, Stephen, Kurtis, Daniel, Chris, Deborah,
and Jennifer. And we are very pleased to have Sarah, Josh, Travis, Trell,
and Andrew join our pack this year! As our pack continues to grow, keep in mind that we will be watching for candidates for new sixers and seconders!! Also, as our pack continues to grow, we are in need of more leaders. If there are any parents who would like to join in making this a fun, exciting year for the kids, please contact Krista McGraw, Ken Elisseou, or Mike Clain @ Glenview United Church. Camp night owl was a blast!! The kids were able to experience camp life at it's best! Whether braving the dark forest and swinging bridge at night, braving camp food, or braving cold nights under the stars... the kids had a great time. Congratulations to the Hyena six on being the only six out of all cub packs to successfully complete all five components of the scavenger hunt!! BRAVO HYENAS!!! The kids and leaders had an opportunity to meet other cubs and leaders from across the region... it was very nice to meet Pat Quinn and his leaders from Grand Bay. Congratulations to 25th Assumption in taking 1st place in the night owl challange 2001!! :) Apple Days 2001 was a huge success for Glenview Scouting! Thank you to all of the beavers, cubs, scouts, and parents who participated in this years apple days! You've made the event this year a smashing success, and you should all be very proud of yourselves for the contributions you have made to Glenview Scouting. A BIG thank you to Mike Clain and Jolee Adams of the group committee for dedicating their entire weekend to coordinating this event... a lot of polishing, counting, and transporting filled their weekend - and Mike... bundle the coins before you get to the bank next year!! :) Thank you to Future Shop, Kents, Wacky's in Parkway Mall, Sears Flooring in Parkway Mall, Rhoda's Flea Market, Home Hardware Loch Lomond... and a BIG thank you to St. Joachims scouting for donating the Home Hardware location to Glenview this year. The hospitality and friendly employees of these locations made apple days a little more fun for the kids. We are pleased to announce that the donations received for Glenview Scouting's operational expenses for this year is estimated to be $1800. BRAVO GLENVIEW!!! |
