The 1st Annual Paul E. Awards

On the February 1st, 1992 edition of WCW Worldwide, a landmark event in the history of sports entertainment occurred. Oh sure, there have been other awards ceremonies - the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the Grammys, even the Slammys - but none have ever been quite as unique as these awards - with the winners joining a unique club, owners of the 1st Annual Paul E. Awards!

Accompanied by the First Lady of the Dangerous Alliance, Madusa, a nervous Paul E. Dangerously took the microphone from Gary Michael Cappetta. The fans in attendance were about to see a first - the Paul E. Awards. Four gold statuettes (moulded in Dangerously's own image of course) were on display in the ring, as Paul E. called out the winner of each award to the ring. As you will see, all the winners were suitably dressed......

After several excellent acceptance speeches, the Dangerous Alliance posed for photographs in the ring. An incredible array of talent, finally rewarded for their in-ring excellence. And probably one of the greatest (and often underrated) heel factions in World Championship Wrestling history.
