This is my favorite shot of the Japan of yesterday that pops up once in a while.
Japan...The Land of Vending Machines and Beautiful Scenery
Since 1999 I have called Japan and all of it's idiosyncrasies home. it is a wonderful place and this page is my platform to share some of pictures and feelings about this great place.
Please click on the picture for a larger view.
In Japan you can get anything through a vending machine. I have seen everything from eggs to used women's underwear to French Fries. Here, my buddy Chris demonstrates the correct technique (and facial expression) for purchasing porn. |
A few pictures of me enjoying some of the wondrous powder in the Japanese alps |
Here are some shots of the Aurora Headquarters. The room on the top left is my abode. |
The vehicle on the left is my current Mitsubishi Pajero. Fully decked out with power windows, power locks and even an altimeter. A big step up from the Jimny (yes, that was it's real name.) which only had the benefit of a heater in its favour. |
Why live in Omachi? This was taken from my bedroom window. Enough said. |
My wonderful mother and I went to a great place called Kanazawa. This is a very famous garden there. Honestly, there are not enough words to describe it. If everyone could see this the world would be a better place. |
And the parties. With a house this big it is great for bringing all the friends together. The first picture is of the Toga party, the second is the Halloween party and the last is of Bingo and I entertaining. |
This is a very famous temple in Kyoto named Kinkakuji. It means the gold temple. It is all gold. C'mon! How cool is that!! |
This is a picture of my girlfriend Sawako. She is sitting in front of the kotatsu (the greatest Japanese invention) with some spring rolls. She's a hottie and she can cook like nobody's business. |
Here is a shot of me with my two good friends Chris and Randall. Randall is of course the same one who has been my cohort for the last 4 years and Chris is a great American (the only one) who now resides in Washington D.C. and runs an up and coming Kayak web site called Kayakmind. |
Here is a link to some videos that Randall and I have put together of Kayaking around Nagano, Gifu and Niigata Prefectures. They take a whack of time to load up but are worth while.
