The holidays are a time for celebration, a time for tolerance and a time for giving. Be there for the most memorable Boston Public of the season.

Dramatic confrontations, romantic complications and poignant reconciliations punctuate this holiday episode. For openers, the tense situation in a previous installment involving a parish priest and an altar boy yields a startling revelation from Hanson (Michael Rapaport). In other storylines, Guber and Marylin (Anthony Heald, Sharon Leal) are partnered in an off-campus dance class; Ronnie and Zach are increasingly frustrated in their zealous search for a secret trysting place; and Lipschultz (Fyvush Finkel) is predictably dyspeptic thanks to an invitation to attend his black son's family gathering on Christmas Day.
