"We're Akron Ohio's
'Favorite' Beep Baseball Team!"

...also Akron's ONLY Beep Baseball Team!

Who Plays Beep Baseball, Anyway?

Beep Baseball is a sport played by blind and visually impaired people, mostly in the USA, but more and more, all around the world. There are currently teams in Taiwan, and very soon will be teams in other countries... Italy, for example.

Beep Baseball is, basically, "Baseball with a twist." It's more like softball, truth be told, and it's called various names, all similar to Beep Baseball. "Beepball," "beeper ball," "beeper baseball," and some other names, but it's all the same GREAT game... "Beep Baseball."

It's Baseball for the blind, and was invented for those who have no vision and low vision to be able to play the "Great American Past-time."

Whether you are male or female, young or old(er), you can play, if you want to.

Sighted persons can also often play, or at least, get involved. Every team is always in need of volunteer help. Teams also need sighted players to be pitchers, catchers, spotters, and umpires.

If you want to--whether you are visually impaired or sighted, you CAN play. You just have to WANT to.

Contact us today to find out just how easy it is to get started playing, or helping others to get started.

You can e-mail us or call Everett Gavel, GM for the Coventry South Sharks Beep Baseball Team in Greater Akron, Ohio, at (330) 745-7853.

We look forward to hearing from you!

** OUR PRACTICES...
Right now--for the Sharks' 'Spring training,' we're practicing every Tuesday & Saturday afternoon, from 5-7 PM. We meet up at our coaches' house, at 4579 Lenty Road, in Coventry. It's off of 619, to Eastern, and Lenty is off of Eastern. Turn onto Lenty and it's the second driveway on the left, and the empty lot you will find us practicing in and/or meeting in right now is just past that house. Come on by! Call (330) 745-7853 for more details.
