Some of the fishermen are beginning to return to the sea. Here some are repairing and testing their boats.
This is a photo of a church (taken before the tsunami) located right at the entrance of the north Royapuram pier.
Church after the tsunami. Fortunately there was no church meeting going on when the wave hit. Five of the church members, however, were killed as they were by the beach when the wave hit.
People would be afraid to attend the church where it stood (as the wave could hit again) so they hope to find a place to rebuild the church inland.
