Stillness shook
like a distant wisper
a slight movement of air
goosebumps crawled
over my skin
as I heard them say
the predicted words
For a moment
I heard the silence
forgetting that it was
my turn to speak
forgetting all time
and human existance
my lips parted
but no sound exited them
My mouth dry like a desert
waiting for rain
a sound came from
deep within my throat
silence gone
the air stired with uncertanty
my own voice
I did not recognize
My eyes
looked 1000 miles away
As I turned to you
one last time
without a word
you had left me
to the emptiness
I yelled for you to come back
but my screams were silenced
by the silence
My tears came
For I only wanted
