Welcome to my page on the United States Marine Corps!

I have been fortunate enough to have been able to serve my country by being a member of the United States Marine Corps. I served from 92 to 95 and although it was only a bit over 3 years it was something that has changed my life for ever. To this day I feel the pride and honor of being a Marine. And even having been out for almost 6 years not it is true that Once a Marine, Always a Marine.

Listed below are some outstanding sites that are Marine Corps related. So check them out and enjoy!

Semper Fi!

- Mista Ed

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag." Father Denis Edward O'Brien/USMC

What is a Marine?

226 years of romping, stomping, hell, death, and destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen. We were born in a bomb crater; my mother was an M-16, my father was the devil, and each moment I live is an additional threat upon your life.

Im a roughish-looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky, self-centered, overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I am fear itself. I am a green amphibious monster made of blood and guts who arose from the sea, whose sole purpose in life is to perpetrate death and destruction on the festering of anti-Americans throughout the globe, wherever it may arise. And when my time comes Ill die a glorious death on the battlefield, giving my life to mom, apple pie, and the American Flag.

We stole the eagle from the Air-Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army; and on the seventh day, while god rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the globe, and weve been running the show ever since. We live like soldiers, talk like sailors, and slap the hell out of both of them at the same time.

Marine by day, lover by night; drunkard by choice, United States Marine by act of god.

My Rifle
By: MajGen William H. Rupertus

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My rifle, without me is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will...

My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...

My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its sights, and its barrel. I will ever guard it against the ravages of weather and damage. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before God I swear this creed. My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but Peace!
