Due to a freak accident at Jumper's June 2003 show we were forced to geld him. We were competing in a driving show and we were coming out with a ribbon. For some reason I was leading him instead of driving him and according to Jumper he just went down in the harness. She states he tripped over his feet. The way he fell, taking down the cart with him injured him in such a way that required surgery and thus the castration. I was able to extract some seamen from Friday. I managed to get enough for four foals.
Friday The 13th has extremely high action in front with a very strong rear-mounted engine. When he is turned loose in his paddock, it is easy to see his natural ability to use his hips, stifles, and hocks to drive his front end forward. He has a long, high-set neck with an appealing, soft expression through his face. Thankfully his accident did not hinder his showing ability or movement.
His natural movement is round and true, which is why he is such a great jumping horse. He finds it easy to set his hocks under himself, lift his shoulders and roll along with smooth, fluid action both in front and behind, where the motor is.
We like our horses to have excellent feet and legs, and Friday The 13th is no exception. He has good solid bone and healthy hooves. Friday The 13th is a rich dun bay - his mane, tail, and legs are all jet-black. He is a sweet and gentle horse, who is a pleasure to have in the barn.
Fiday's only offspring right now is Eliela's Dream Life. This precious foal that Eliela gave her life was named Eliela's Spirit.
He is sure to give the horse industry a go around the show ring.
