There are many Igorot Tribes (Mountain People) that inhabit the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and these include the Benguets, Ifugaos, Bontocs, Kalingas, and Apayaos. The Benguets are natives of the Province of Benguet which is located in the southern tip of the Cordillera Mountain Range in northern Luzon. From the Province of Ifugao and Bontoc are the Ifugaos and the Bontocs, respectively. Those who inhabit the mountain ranges of Apayao, the western part of Kalinga, and the eastern parts of the provinces of Ilocos Norte and Abra are the Apayaos. The Kalingas are natives of the Province of Kalinga-Apayao which is located in the northernmost Cordillera region. To know more about the different Igorot tribes, visit the home page of The BIBAK Association of Northeast USA.
