"Chris! Oh God, Chris!"
He looked over at me as I came running towards him.
JC was going to die in December. I was going to lose him.
"Please," I sobbed. "That spider... it... it bit Josh, please, come on..."
JC was going to be gone...
"Chris! Please!" I pulled on his arm, my face wet with tears. "I think he’s seriously hurt."
He was going to leave me.
I hoped I was convincing enough to Chris.
"Shit. Where is he?" Chris asked.
"Still in the closet."
I followed Chris up the stairs, wiping at my face, trying to get myself under control. Maybe I had been a little -too- convincing.
We got to the closet and the cleverly placed colored pencil marks that looked like darkened, poisoned veins were in place, the spray bottle had given JC the effect of sweating, and I have to admit it, he was a damn good actor. Then again, I wasn’t so bad myself.
"God, oh God Josh, I’m sorry. The guy at the pet store told me it was only a tarantula, a harmless spider. I didn’t... god..."
"Help me get him up," I said, moving to JC’s other side and putting my hands under his arms, lifting him up. Chris helped me steady him, and then JC proceeded to act like I was supporting him out of the closet.
"Look for that damn spider, it’s still in there. Kill it when you find it," I said, thinking of the tarantula sitting on my desk in a jar.
"I don’t see it in here Lance. I think we should just leave him and call the hospital right now before JC..."
He was cut off when I slammed the now put back together door shut and closed the combination lock, the click it made loud in the hallway.
"What the-"
"Cleverly placed pencil marks, a spray bottle, damn good acting, and -now- who’s in the closet Chris?" JC asked with a laugh.
"That wasn’t funny you assholes, I thought JC was really hurt."
"All’s fair in war, Christopher. And by the way, just know that as soon as you get out of there, Justin and Joey will be waiting for you."
"Come on guys, let me out..."
"Not a chance," JC told him. We stood there for a moment before we heard a loud shriek from Chris.
"What the hell is in here with me?!" he exclaimed.
I laughed. "It’s just Dirk, Chris. Although I’d be careful if I were you, he hasn’t been to the bathroom all day."

"Goddamn it all to hell, I hate you all!"
I laughed and looked at the clock. It had been at least two hours since we had left Chris in the closet, which meant Justin and Joey and let him out and were having their way with him. Not like that though.
"What the fucking hell is my underwear doing in the trees?" I heard the sound of feet running down the stairs, and the door opening and slamming.
JC laughed and snuggled his head deeper into the crook of my neck. "Wanna fool around?" he asked, grinning up at me.
Before I could answer, I heard Chris’ screams from outside, followed by pounding on the door.
"You shit heads, open this goddamn door right now!"
"Language, language," I heard Justin say from the other side of the door.
"You come out here and say that to my face Timberlake," Chris said and when I heard the door open, I had to laugh because I couldn’t believe Justin had actually gone.
"Shit, Justin get back here, he’s trying to get in!" I heard a lot of shuffling and hitting noises before the door shut again and I heard the lock turn.
"Joey! Damn it, now I’m out here!" Justin yelled.
"It’s your own fault, Justin."
I got up to go take a look at it, and a grumbling JC followed me.
"Joey, he went around back, open the door now," Justin said, and Joey looked out the window, and after making sure Chris was out of sight, went back to the door and opened it.
As soon as the door opened, I heard Chris make some sort of strangled war cry and come running out from the side of the house.
And in that moment, I just couldn’t help myself. I hurried down the stairs, and before Joey could think to react to the charging Chris, I shoved him out the door and slammed it shut, locking it.
"Shit!" Joey exclaimed as he tried to open the door. "Hey! I thought you guys were on our side!"
"Come on C, let me in!" Justin yelled, pounding on the door.
I turned to JC and grinned. He grinned back. "Wanna fool around now?" he asked.
I laughed and pulled him into a kiss.
I knew we’d be victorious.
