My first attempt at an electro-magnet, I powered it from a 12vdc adapter

The 12v power source that will be used for the electromagnet and motors to power the wheels and the winch.

A re-wired receiver, the 27 MHz one.

The two geared motors mounted directly to the wheels.

Here is the new and improved electro-magnet. Last I checked it was lifting 25 lbs. of steel. It's made with Wire Specialties Tech-C wire donated by Ryan Caron's father.

Here is the casters dad found in the scrap bin at work and the motor for controlling the winding of the winch.
