Here are the mini r/c cars to be cannibalized
The Basic STAMP, in the front is the serial connection used to download programs from the computer
Serial cable and USB to serial cable, to hook up to computer via USB
My first attempt at an electro-magnet, I powered it from a 12vdc adapter
The 12v power source that will be used for the electromagnet and motors to power the wheels and the winch.
A re-wired receiver, the 27 MHz one.
The two geared motors mounted directly to the wheels.
Here is the new and improved electro-magnet. Last I checked it was lifting 25 lbs. of steel. It's made with Wire Specialties Tech-C wire donated by Ryan Caron's father.
Here is the casters dad found in the scrap bin at work and the motor for controlling the winding of the winch.
