My eyes flutter shut,

As the shimmering stars pass above the sky.

And without a moment’s breath,

I dream of you.

As I look off into nothingness

Under the warm summer’s sun,

I think of you.

My mind dances in fields unknown,

It is dancing with you.

My heart is always filled with a longing for love.

Yet I know yours isn’t.

While my mind dreams of you,

My common sense tells me no.

I do not love you now,

For all I receive of you is sorrow.

I am pulled back to reality.

I don’t love you.

But my soul seems to.

I cannot look at you without crying.

I know you don’t love me.

I don’t love you either.

Yet I still fall asleep dancing with you.
