Beware of Scam on Timeshare Owners.
Holidays - An Alternative to TimeShare.
The trading watchdog has warned consumers not to
fall prey to fraudsters offering to sell unwanted
timeshares for them.
The Office of Fair Trading said people had already
lost hundreds of pounds to bogus timeshare resale
companies, with some victims also conned into paying
thousands of pounds to obtain holiday club
membership on the basis of false promises.
The group said timeshare owners often received
unsolicited telephone calls from a bogus timeshare
resale company, in which it was claimed that a
definite buyer had been found for their timeshare,
and was willing to make an above market offer.
The full article was in the Press Association - Google
News - but no longer available apparently.
An Alternative:
IF you have unwanted time shares, or do not actually
own a time share, it may well be time to consider an
alternative - a better alternative - of a Club
Membership that allows you WORLDWIDE travel to a
variety of different global luxury resorts - at an 'affordable' price even with
the Club Membership fees.
That way you do get a choice of locations, worldwide
- and even before you actually buy a Club Membership
you may be able to visit one which may be near your
next holiday destination if you have already booked
your holidays - and check the quality.
And/or you will be able to compare your current or
recent costs to the prices where the
Club Membership approach is on a per UNIT basis and
not on a per PERSON basis.
The per unit basis would be particularly suitable
for couples, families, family groups, or just a few
friends.
If you have a TimeShare you can offer it to other
Members - provided it complies with the Club
costings etc.,
