In March
of 1999, I met a guy whotold me about the books..the Wheel of Time
books. I moved to Mississippi for him, and when he
stopped speaking to me, I
started
reading the books and then shortly after the 4th book, he reopened
his mouth
to me, to tell me about Dragonmount. He had found it before,
and told
me I should join.I loved it from the day one. Everyone was so nice
and
welcoming. Made me feel as though I had been there forever. My best
experience
is when I earned the title of Aes Sedai. That and when I found out
that
people REALLY did like me. The worst was the controversy over the sex
scene
between my Freelander character, Taviani and Lord Calain. It was over
in a week
though.. so that was good.
The advice
I have to give to the newbies is that, Dragonmount is a great
place,
aside from the Incarns and the one or two jerks there. The lessons
and the
things you do as your character DO sometimes affect you.
Don't get
all pouty if you don't get raised right away. I was an Accepted
for 5
months IRL time.
In my time
at Dragonmount, I have been in alot of RP's. And most people
at DM are
VERY talented writers. It's a wonderful system.
My RP's
have all been kind of small. I haven't been involved in any of
the big
ones. But I am a repeat offender of the Silly RP.
Since I
have been at Dragonmount, since September of '99, I found a
part of
me, a writer in me that I didn't know exsisted. I have tons of friends,
most of
whom would give their eyeteeth for me, even though I wouldn't ever
dream of
asking for anything more than they have done already. I found great
friends
with DM, and I hope you newbies do too.
