How the black hole is formed
A black hole is formed when a star, 2.5 times the mass of our sun (stated as the Landau-oppenheimer-Volkou limit) run out of its hydrogen and other nuclear fuel, it gets cold and will shrink to an infinitely small point. Its gravity will then grow strong and suck everything into it, including light. If it is a star that ran out of fuel but does not have enough mass to become a black hole, it becomes a neutron star or white dwraf, which are dead stars.
