Unaired Episodes

In this section I'll explain to you why the three episodes, Holiday at Aopulco, Legend of Dratini, and Electric Soldier Porygon, weren't shown in the United States. (Were any of these epsodes shown in other countries besides Japan?)

Holiday At Aopulco
Whoa...

As proof of the evidence in the picture above, James has suddenly grown breasts. And that's a bit taboo, obviously.

What happens in this episode?
Well, Ash and his friends broke this guy named Ryu's dock and they have to pay for the damage. They are working at Ryu's resturant to earn money, but Team Rocket messes things up and no one comes to their resturant to eat. They hear about a swimsuit contest and the prize is money. So Misty enters the contest and gets a good round of applause.
Jessie and James come along and enter the contest, too. And they get even MORE applause than Misty. But, Gary comes with his cheerleaders and they blow the crowd away.
Jessie and James are really mad and decide to wreck the swimsuit contest. Ash fights them, they blast off, blah...blah...blah.
In the end, Ash finds out that his mom won the swimsuit contest and she gives him the money to repair Ryu's dock.

James is obviously wearing a body suit of some type to get that kind of figure. It's no different from the other disguises that he and Jessie wear. I can see why the producers might be a bit put off but I really don't see any reason why this episode would cause any real damage.

Legend Of Dratini

The reason this one wasn't is because Jessie and James use guns to threaten the Warden. And Jessie kinda seduces the Warden.

What happens in this episode?
Ash and friends are in the Safari Zone when they find the Warden's cabin. The Warden is a meanie but he's famous for finding Dratini. Anyways, the Warden gave Ash and friends some Safari Balls and they went out to catch Pokemon.
This is the episode where Ash keeps catching the Tauros, which explains how he ends up with one.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is trying to find out where Dratini was by torturing the Warden. First, Jessie tries to seduce him but it doesn't really work. So...they decide that Meowth's singing would be enough torture but it isn't so they stick him in a tickling machine.
Ash and friends return and free the Warden from the tickling machine. He tells them that Team Rocket found out where the Dratini was.
Team Rocket is now next to a lake, when Jessie sees a Dratini. They decide to throw bombs into the lake to blast the Dratini out. Ash tries to save the Dratini but runs out of air and is saved by a Dragonair.
Team Rocket gets blasted away and everyone finds out that the Dragonair was really the Dratini the Warden had found and the Dratini was it's child.

What's so wrong with guns? Team Rocket doesn't use the guns to kill anyone. They always have weapons, including guns that shoot nets, and whatever else they may have. And seducing is what Team Rocket does best. They've done that millions of times, what's one more?

Electric Soldier Porygon

Click here for the seizure shot. It gets you nice and dizzy. ^_^

This is the episode that caused several kids to have seizures during the flashing scene.

What happens in this episode?
Pikachu is being annoying again by saying it wants to rest. I'm not surprised, it's really out of shape. Anyway, Ash brings him to a Pokemon Center where they find out that the Pokeball Transporter is whacked out.
Ash and friends go to the inventor's mansion. While there, the inventor tells them that some people broke into his mansion and stole the prototype Porygon. They then blocked the information highway. Ash and friends are given a Porygon and get shipped to find out who was causing the problem. They see Team Rocket and they start to battle. Team Rocket decides to use their Porygon so Ash uses his Porygon.
Meanwhile, Nurse Joy has hired a computer consultant and he puts an anti-virus into the computer. Team Rocket gets hit by this anti-virus. Fortunatly they get out in time. Unfortunatly Ash and friends escape, too.

I understand the initial precaution but there has to be a way to lessen the flashing and this episode will be fine. Out of all the unaired episodes, this is the one I really would like to see.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, that's it for the unaired episodes. I personally think that the episodes are fine the way they are. If there must be scenes cut out of "softened up" then let that be. Just don't ruin it too much, okay? It's nothing a little touching up can't fix. Besides, we, the obsessive fans, apparently know all about these episodes already.
Okay, so they aired 'Holiday at Aopulco' but they completely changed it. The basic story was there and I guess they did an understandable job with it. James disguise was totally cut out. A little disappointing but what can we do. Let's hope they air the other two episodes soon.
