What the fund is
The Asia Missions Fund is designed to help native and 3rd world
missionaries in the Asia region, especially (at present)
in the nation of India.
The fund provides 30 US dollars per month per person,
$40 a month for couples. Most native missionaries in
Asia are living on very little, and this fund is a big
help to them and enables them to continue in full time
work reaching the lost in their area of the world.
Advantages of native missionaries
* Native missionaries work full time in their own culture or a similar
culture to evangelize their own people.
* Native missionaries can go where western missionaries can't,
since more than 80 percent of Asian nations (or regions within them)
are restricted to western missionaries. Yet 2/3 of the
unreached people of the world live in these closed areas.
Since native missionaries live at the level of the people
to whom they are ministering, 20 native missionaries can be
supported for the cost of supporting one western missionary.
Qualifications of recipients of Asia Missions Fund
* All Asia Missions Fund-supported native missionaries were visited
by an experienced YWAM Field missions leader before their applications
were accepted.
* Native and 3rd world missionaries are held accountable. They report to local indigenous missions leadership councils under which they work. In addition, YWAM has a team of well-qualified national leaders who travel continuously, monitoring the work in different areas.
Finances given to Asia Missions Fund
100 percent of all missionary support to the fund goes to the mission field.
Nothing is taken out for administrative expenses. All donations to the YWAM
Asia Missions Fund are tax deductable as allowed by law.
