Pipkin – Wayne County NC

I descend from John Pipkin who left a will in 1745 in Chowan County that 
is present day Gates Co NC.

Joseph Pipkin, son of John, moved to Dobbs County NC. Dobbs 
later became present Lenoir, Wayne, Greene & Johnston Counties.

Willis Pipkin, son of Joseph, lived in Wayne County and died there in 
1818. 

Mills Pipkin, son of Willis, lived in Wayne County and died about the 
same time as his father.

Asher Pipkin, son of Mills, lived in Duplin County and died in August 
after the Civil War ended in 1865.

Moses Pipkin, son of Asher, lived in Wayne County and died in 1932 and 
was a soldier in the Civil War.

Ernest James Pipkin, son of Moses, lived in Wayne County and died in 
1970.

Lottie Lillian Pipkin, daughter of Ernest J & Hettie Myrtle Rose Pipkin 
lived in Wayne County and died in 1997.

Guy Potts, son of Edward & Lillian P Potts, born and raised in Wayne 
County now living in Raleigh, NC - 1999
