Black shoes polished with gloom
The damp asphault sings underfoot.

Steadily he advances, cloaked in shadow
Stretching long legs over dark expanses

Following a manmade path to my insides
He's at the threshold of my subconscious,

He picks the lock, but I open the door for him 
He steps inside, electric eyes interlock

The Cold
I, the Ice Queen am powerless
No means have I to melt
A freshly frozen lover.
I melt myself instead,
Taking his place.
I drift from glacial power
Into slush, into waste,
Into defeated mud puddle
Madness.
Vapourize my pain,
Carry it away by mist and cloud.
Usher me from his cool embraces
Scatter my remains in distant places.
I cry like the rainforest.
My soggy memories,
Filled with tropical heat.
Empty.
He's lost to me, stolen away.
Gone to a place of strength
And solitude.
One that I once owned.
He roams his deserts of ice
While from fiery truth I hide,
I watched him grow
Into the Lord of Frost
As I watered his flames,
They crystallized.
Ice statue lovers,
Or polar adversaries,
I've tired of waiting for him to decide.
He's torn me down,
I'm soiled, used up.
Longing for a victim to prey on.

High Spring
The Earth Maiden calls to the rising Sun Lord,
Her bright buds and chutes press forth,
Climbing closer to His warmth.
She's made up in startling green,
To tempt Him with Her beauty.
He hides, playfully,
Sneaking behind rain clouds.
Teasing Her for days at a time.
Finally, He emerges in His majesty,
The Earth accepts His radiant kisses.
Awakened by Him,
Her blossoms echo shared ecstasy,
Bursting forth in vivid technicolor.
God and Goddess united again,
Their eternal love creeps across the ground,
Spills forth from the trees, and
Blooms in the gardens in the wise.

Sick
The nausea is rising,
Gripping my throat.
Suicide with a thousand papercuts
On the collarbone.
I can't see it, but I know
My face is burning red.
The tears are boiling over
Through my eyes.
