Suffering Hearts
Words linger thick in the air
Brushing against cheek and lash
Tickling and caressing
Like so many fond moments past.
Relating progressively
Making connection after connection
The final attachment comes in bliss.
The anticipated embraces,
Captivating beyond fluid memory,
Mind and body burning as one wick
Ambient flames dancing precariously
On the edge of freedom.
Enlightened lovers dances,
Fading and sputtering out
With suspiciously perfect timing
Leaving minds and hands
To wander alone in the deep silence.
Travelling along the winding path
One too many marbles rolling away
Into the gutter one after another
In single file they tumble
Splash splash splashing from a distance Still beautiful in candid moments
Prized and coveted, soon forgotten,
But never left undone.

Acid Thought Bombs
Acid thought bombs soar overhead
Beating me down,
Straight home.
Acid thought bombs are
Out of my hands
Waiting for their chance to win
Heated and torn from the inside
Living on the demure borderline,
Chances wasted time and again
Celebrating the feast of turmoil.
The self-inflicted scourge inside
Outweighs trivial monstrosities,
Leaving emptiness and smoke
To replace the heartfelt conflict.
Thwarted in each mundanity trial
Mislead by empty consequences
Prosperity in unmarked packages
Unappreciative and careless again
My skin is pure comtempt for you
These salty tears contempt for me,
Incapability rises inside, pressurized
My yawns are muffled screams.
Acid thought bombs fly from my head
Leaving me unconscious and alone.
Acid thought bombs are
Putty in my hands
Still waiting for their chance to win.

Sorrow From Heart to Heart
She lurked in the alleyway,
Waiting for the moment to pass,
Within a second she was
Gone without a trace.
He followed close after,
Sensing her scattered in the wind,
Not knowing what was
Now left in her wake.
She pushed and she ran,
And she cried a bitter tear,
As his heavy footfall
Stung her tender heart
But he gave his very best,
In the chase of demise,
She knew finally which
Moment was the last.
With a gaze full of passion,
And a chin held high,
Lady bravely turned to
Meet his darkened face.
As he stepped into the light,
His stride long and free,
She needed him though fear
Had gripped her heart.
Another silent moment
Of panic and grace
Passed by without
A whisper or a stir.
He had her in his arms,
His lips met her ear,
And she drank from him
His living mortal charm.

Burger Run
Killing time again.
Just wasting away
Standing in line,
Formless and faceless.
Reduced to standards
I don't really understand.
Shuffling and struggling
With memory and ineivitably
Indesicive thought patterns.
Finally the chance sneaks up
And the generic face across
Is no reflection, appearing
In predictable uniformity,
Begging silently for simplicity.
At once the robotic geniality steps in.
Ever wonder of the real thoughts
Hidden behind that mask?
"Would you like fries with that?"
Melts away to the new baby
And the broken bottles at home
All the while "Will that be all?"
Comes plainly to desensitized
And impatient ears.
The cash is exchanged,
The food carried away
to be shared with friends
Who see only their own problems.
They can slip away for the moment
With greasy fingers
And happy bellies
Into a world of
Self invented sloth
And the mad ravings
Of a cartoon duck.
