It is plain to see the change in me
I fly out a closed window
If you look beyond my poison pond

Wasting away, falling from the source
Decaying as I lose face.
The mold creeps over me
As the pages of my life turn yellow,
And one by one the ants march along.
The weeds forever claw at my flesh,
Pulling me deeper into the earth
Finally in my dehydrated tale
A looseleaf happy ending.

The spider inside

Weaving her web of barbed wire
Poached like a tiger
Skinned like a mink
Treasured to suffocation
