Solitary Slumber
Hands touch me when I'm alone,
Eyes burn through my skin;
Angel wings caress my flesh,
When I dream a silent sin.
Names I hear that once were mine,
Vocal chords have snapped;
Echoes tease me as I sleep,
Naked flesh remains unmapped.
Drift along my wavelength on
A silver daffodill;
Watch my nightmares as they peak, Fingertips whispering kill.

Asterisk
At times I feel restless,
Stopping not quite soon enough,
Telling stories of fantasy,
Ever after fictions bluff.
Risking my dreamland,
I dare to dance alone,
Slipping from my hiding place, I
Kiss the earth, the silken stone.

Meaningless
Once whispering drudgery
Twice fallen is the grief
The rash stains the habit
The prelude cries belief.
Speech impediments quicken
Excreting feathered choice
You've taken mazes backward
And hoard the angsty voice.
Toss and turn the window
This parasite still new
Sabotage each detail
A cloak of treason through.

Rocks and Things
Cold, solid, polished,
This stone induces memories.
Smooth and pretty too,
Not unlike a child.
That's how I see you now,
Frolicing in the grasses.
Like a pretty little pebble,
Skipping across the sea.
How often do I think of you,
Pretty little boy?
How often do I see you,
Standing next to me?
A boquet of flowers,
You picked them just for me.
When will you be back again,
My feverish memory?
How long shall I wait,
For your solid embrace?
