Although Lot 6 has direct road frontage to Hinau Road, the designated building site is about 20 metres up the concrete right of way.

Views form the site look over the adjoining University bush conservation area. Views of the Tasman sea would be obtained from an elevated house built on the site.

The building site is on a ridge and the land falls steeply away to the north. Access can be gained through two natural pathways. The balance of the land comprises two areas of native bush separated by a stream and ponding area. The wetlands could be made into a very private and special feature of the site.
