Standing Observance Rules

1.Council armbands are to be worn at practice, camp, and the fair.
2.Uniform intact at all times.
  • YOU represent the Band
  • Respect It!
  • Full dress uniform from the time you arrive at the concert until you return to your car to leave the concert site.
  • If you are caught out of uniform, it will count as an unexcused absence.
3.Shirt sleeves down and buttoned.
4.Cummerbund pleats go down.
5.Pants must be worn in straight leg style.(No rolling, pegging, ect.)
6.White Shoes-Always Polished.
7.White Belt-Always clean.
8.Drum strap, preferably white-Always clean.
9.No colored hair attire-no ribbons, bows, scrunchies, neutral barrettes only.
10.Post earings only-limited jewelry.
11.HAIR-The styling of your hair is considered art of your uniform. Hair should be kept neat so as to not interfere with your ability to see the Director or play your instrument."Fad type" hairstyles or exotic coloring will not be accepted during concert performances. Questionable hairstyles will be left to the Director's discretion.
12.Sunglasses are permitted at the discretion of the Director.
13.NO JACKETS.
14.NO Chewing Gum
15.NO Smoking in uniform.
16.All ansences require an excuse.
17.Name on instrument case is a must.
18.Name on both sections of your music stand is a must.
19.Music neat in folder, large together, small together and in alphabetical order.
20.Concerts
  • Clothes pins belong in "ditty bags"
  • Keep ground area clean
  • Instrument cases left in car
