We were a generation that found love for G.I. Joe's, He-Man & She-Ra, Rainbow Bright, and our favorite cartoons--possibly being Transformers, Strawberry Shortcake, or Thundercats. After the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze, we moved on to M.C. Hammer pants and Skidz in the fifth grade and traded slap and friendship bracelets or Garbage Pail Kid cards. Yes, those were the days. Soon, those days were gone and High School smacked us in the face. While not exactly being labeled "Generation X", we had to be a new kind of generation...one of hope and new technology. May 1998 was not just any other normal month in our lives--it was a month of new beginnings and our first chance to throw down our toys and show 'em what we're made of.
We Survived It--
Finally, the long awaited day came and while we waited for everyone to walk across the stage we thought only of what was important (the cool party afterward), and a huge moment in our lives was in the process of passing. We threw up our hats, found them on the surrounding chairs or floor, and walked away from the friends we made in those torturous years, the school we went to every day, and from the chapter that everyone must close in order to go to college/military training/vocational school. It could never be reopened, rewritten, or edited (for content! haha). The Class of '98 was too busy opening a new book--perhaps the Class of 2002? Who knows? We had finally made it through High School! That's all that mattered on that day.
We Remember It--
Now, here we are, looking back for one last time (or how ever many times you visit this page). This site is an attempt to remember the good and bad times we had...and a way for us to know that the class of 1998 was the best ever! Please pass it on to fellow classmen/women, and share as much as you can on the MESSAGE BOARD--THEN PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO READ YOUR MEMORIES FOR YEARS TO COME!
