Turner did some commercials before being signed to "The Sound of music" She now lives in a small town in Minnesota with her husband and 4 kids.Debbie makes her home in Minnesota and owns and operates an upscale wedding floral design business, 'The Vinery'. Before she was cast as 'Marta' she was in numerous commercials including over 30 for Mattel toys. After "The Sound of Music" she became a professional skier in Utah. Debbie and her husband Rick have been married since 1980 and have four children, Brooke, Jaime, Angela, and Kate. When she played the part of Marta her two front teeth fell out and they had to be replaced by porcelain ones!
