In Memory of Jackson Taylor Godek (04/20/97-04/11/99)

Welcome to Memories of Jackson!

My name is Deana. My husband John and I welcome you to our dedication page. It was made in memory of our son Jackson Taylor. He lived a very short but wonderful life. He passed away at age 2 from a bacterial infection. Jackson was an adorable, loving child. The light of our life. He was smart, generous and could always make you smile. His passing has affected us in a way I can't even begin to describe, except to say that life is not the same. I hope you enjoy his pictures, the poetry, and other information. If you are visiting this page because you yourself have lost a child, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Jackson At 18 Months

This is our favorite picture of Jackson. There are so many to choose from but this really captures his angelic beauty. The only thing missing is his halo! He loved to have his picture taken. All I would have to do is say, "Jackson, Mama wants to take your picture" and he would stop, pose and smile!

My Buddy, My Boy
All you knew was how to give love to everyone around you.
You taught me how to be open to receive your love and to show love outwardly.
I never knew someone so little could have such an effect.
You had a profound influence on my life which I will cherish forever.
I'll always miss your special hugs and kisses.

Jackson & His Daddy

This was Jackson's very favorite hat. It was given to him by his Aunt Joanne and Uncle Richard. He would sleep, eat and bathe with that hat on! He would throw it on, jump on his dump-truck (given to him by his Uncle Chet) and tear through the house. He was a boy on a mission!
