Jessica Simpson is one of the most beautiful young pop stars ever to grace the pages of this magazine. Therefore, it is no surprise that she has been recognized as one of the 100 sexiest women in the world! The only surprise we had found out that Stuff Magazine included the Texas teen on their list, was that she was not, at least, in the top 10. Didn't they see Jessica at the American Music Awards in her stunning dress. Jessica was listed as No. 66 on the list of the "100 sexiest women in the world." Hey she is only 19 and isn't primarily concerned with being sexy, so the rating is pretty good.
Jessica is seen by many as a beautiful young woman, but she is different than most young stars that perpetuate the image. She has said, "I know that innocence can be sexy and that you can be confident and at ease with your sexuality and your womanliness without having sex." Jessica believes in abstinence and commitment in relationships and is very concerned with the message she sends to other teens. The teen diva is a shining example of the new type of pop star, who can be both fun and send a positive message at the same time. Jessica's strength and commitment to her beliefs are a big part of who she is, so we guess she's right-innocence and confidence can be sexy. Who do you guys out there think? Don't bother answering, we already know the answer!
One guy who we know thinks Jessica is No. 1 on the sexy list is 98 degrees singer Nick Lachey. Unless you've been on the planet Mars for the last year, you know that Jessica and Nick are the hottest couple in pop music today. Their relationship has been a publicist's dream. Not only are they two of the most beautiful performers in the business, they took their liaison one step futher and recorded a beautiful duet together. But, for Jessica and NIck, their love for each other has nothing to do with publicity. They are just down to earth enough to share their relationship with the world instead of hiding it. It takes a special couple to do that and withstand the pressures that go along with being a celebrity couple, but these two know how to make it work. They've been together for over a year now and have even found ways to see each other while touring. The best way they have found so far is to promote the song, "Where You Are," which originally appeared on Jessica's debut album Sweet Kisses. This way they get to travel around together and be really flirtatious on stage. It has to be a lot of fun, and very romantic to be singing with the one you love in front of the whole world.
The video for "Where You Are," was appropriately aired on Valentine's Day by MTV as part of their Making Of The Video series to an overwhelming response. The song has been so successful that it was featured in the movie, Here On Earth. The lovers even got the chance to perform at the premier for the movie in New York City, and also at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards last month. It's been a great run for the talented Texan. First she toured with both 98 degrees and Ricky Martin, and had the chance to play in front of huge crowds night after night. Then she started to enjoy solo success that she worked so hard for in recording Sweet Kisses, and her hit single "I Wanna Love You Forever." She played a string of concerts for her friends at Disney World, at their Lake Buena Vista location, and most recently appeared at the Million Dollar Wango Tango Concert in Los Angeles, hosted by N'Sync.
Jessica has really taken off, much like her counterparts, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Mandy Moore, but don't mistake this teen singer for a carbon copy. She has her own thing going on and will always stay true to her heart, as well as her beliefs. We expect Jessica to be performing for us a very long time and maybe working her way up to the No.1 spot on that list of beautiful women. One thing those polls and contests can't judge, is the beauty on the inside, in which category Jessica surely can't be beat.
