The media seem united in an opinion that OWS ("Occupy Wall Street") are a mindless entity without a plan, yet do not support government reform.

As one example, USA Weekend, a popular Sunday newspaper supplement, typically burdens its readers with page after page of paid advertisements. The April 22-24, 2011 edition was 20-pages, EIGHT of which were medical industry advertisements.
Although Americans proudly boast of "freedom of the press", does anyone really believe the editors of USA Weekend would go against the interests of their primary advertisers to support a national healthcare plan - or even "Obama care"?
The PPP principle ("Politicians Pimp Power") is a stark reality of life. Pimps and politicians have no loyalty to country, party, nor family. Like Bernie Madoff, life is all about them, yet people entrust them with the future of their grandchildren!
Darrell Issa, from Cleveland, Ohio, was elected to Congress representing San Diego, California. Whilst his constituents suffered unemployment, foreclosures, and bankruptcy during 2010, Issa seized such opportunities to DOUBLE his reported fortune to $725-million dollars, and is now believed to be the wealthiest Member of Congress.
Can anyone believe Darrell Issa will do anything in Congress which might constrain or reduce his fortune?
OWS supporters know most Members of Congress are millionaires with little or no interest in supporting any legislation with might constrain or reduce their fortune!
OWS supporters know no political party will support any legislation which might constrain or reduce their wealth!

After the USA government seized all of the assets of the LDS church, Mormons were left with a debt of $2.3-million dollars in 1898. Their god responded by imposing a Flat Tax (aka "tithing") rate of 10%, enabling the LDS Church to repay all of its debt by 1903. Since then, Mormons have NEVER used debt to finance any operation - even for capital projects like building "sacred temples" world-wide!
According to Newsweek, the LDS church is now, "the General Electric of American religion, with global ambitions, and an estimated net worth of $30-billion dollars!"
OWS supporters know the actual General Electric of America earned $14.2 billion dollars in 2010, but paid not one penny in federal taxes to support the government that made those earnings possible; in fact, GE received a tax credit of $3.2 billion dollars!
In 2009, GE earned $10.3 billion, paid $0 federal tax, yet "earned" a tax credit of $1.1-billion dollars!
The NY Times (2011/11/03) reported that 30 of the largest USA corporations have not paid one penny in federal taxes for the last 3 years!
AP's Stephen Ohlemacher reports that Mitt Romney's tax plan would increase taxes by 60% for Americans earning less than $20,000 p.a., and REDUCE taxes for millionaires by an average of 15%, very clearly establishing that Mormon Mitt Romney does not support the Mormon god's vision of universal prosperity; Romney clearly supports individual wealth!
According to the IRS, one out of every eight millionaire filers in 2010 were audited for the very good reason that 80% of filers audited were found to owe more taxes!
If every millionaire filer was a good Christian patriot rendering "unto Caesar that which belongs to Caesar", we are led to a conclusion that money can not buy an American tax accountant/attorney able to comprehend the multitude of exclusions, exemptions, and loopholes enacted by Congress!
OWS supporters - and the village idiot - would all agree that a government must have money to provide security for its land and people!
Yet, in the USA, the burden for those costs is heaped upon the poor who cannot afford accountants to find the exclusions, exemptions, and loopholes Members of Congress have enacted to keep themselves - and their supporters - wealthy!
No Member of Congress - nor political party - will support a Flat Tax in the USA because, although it may be best for the nation, it is not good for them as it would severely curtail their political power to make deals.
Of what use is a pimp (politician) who can't make deals?
A Flat Tax simply ensures that every entity under the umbrella of a family, or a government, pays a fair share of operational costs and, since Babylon, a 10% rate has proven to be the most effective.
If every entity under the USA umbrella had to pay a fair share of the cost of government (no exemptions, exclusions, nor loopholes) would the wealthy allow government to buy $500 toilet seats or $300 hammers?
Would Halliburton and its entities be able to spend millions of dollars promoting conflict and wars in Africa and the Middle East to ensure a continuing flow of lucrative government contracts?
Of course OWS want government reform! Just imagine how much of our taxes get flushed down the toilet by creating/publishing/distributing/interpreting/completing/filing/recording/auditing one single tax return complicated with exemptions, exclusions, and loopholes!
For starters, the President of the United States of America must have the authority to dissolve Congress when it fails to act in the best interests of the nation and, most especially, when it fails to act in a timely manner!
Since WWII, other nations have recognized the need for an healthy, educated workforce (and military) as did President Truman.
However, Congress has been steadfast in keeping Americans poor, stupid, and replaceable. OWS supporters know that Health, Education, and Welfare, continue to be first choice among Congressional budget cuts!
My father helped devastate Germany during WWII. When I was stationed there in the 1950s, I wrote to my father that Germany was rapidly rebuilding with cinderblock and plastic pipe construction, which was marvelous stuff because it was cheap and didn't freeze-up in the winter. My father wrote back that plastic plumbing was illegal in the USA because Members of Congress wanted to protect their investments in iron and clay pipe manufacturing.
Congressional "leadership" has resulted in the USA having the worst electrical system in the developed world, the worst TV, audio, broadband systems, etc., and, most certainly, the worst healthcare system!
No other nation on earth wants the USA healthcare system because, as Members of Congress proudly claim, it is "For Profit".
According to Hippocrates, "An illness that can not be cured by food can not be cured by medicine", but American doctors have no interest in cures!
"For Profit" means the medical industry have ZERO interest in healing people because profit lies in continuing treatment by prescribing drugs/placebos, biopsies, lab tests, follow-up appointments, unnecessary surgeries, and most importantly, getting patients to wait in an office, or waiting room, long enough to contract ailments from other patients!
One need only open a magazine or turn on the TV in the USA to see where profit lies!
The OWS question of the week is: "Which makes most Americans sick, Congress or the media?" (Its a toss-up, isn't it?)
There are so many things wrong with Congress that Occupy Wall Street - or any other street in the USA - can be forgiven for not knowing exactly what government reform must be enacted.
From a personal viewpoint, what value is there in a politician taking an oath "before God" to represent his/her constituents when his/her allegiance is not to "god", constituents, nor nation, but to party, lobbyists, and campaign supporters?
To this day, Native Americans have been able to survive without political parties.
Native Americans are raised with an obligation to make life better, not for their own children, but for their grandchildren, and to support the person they believe can best do a job that needs to be done. Whether that person is male/female/gay/disabled/bastard/orphan or otherwise "different" is not as important as a belief that one particular person can BEST perform a task.
By way of example, the famed Apache warrior known in history books as "Geronimo" was never a chief, nor a "War Chief", because Apaches believe a chief is someone who can get the job done and bring everyone safely home , whereas Geronimo was only concerned with getting the job done; those who didn't survive were only a price that needed to be paid to get the job done (Geronimo may be gone, but his attitude is revered in Congress).
OWS supporters are well aware that too many Americans have been sacrificed under the Congressional belief that, "Greed is Good"! Integrity is better!
Once considered the richest nation on earth, the USA has rapidly tumbled down the "Quality of Life" scales to a point where our Infant Mortality Rate is an international disgrace.
Yet, despite our dire fiscal situation, after taking an unearned break, Members of Congress continue to insist the poor must bite the bullet before the rich must pay a fair share of the cost of government!
That attitude is unlikely to change because Representatives are elected to Congress for a two year term. As election campaigns now commence about 18-months before an election, the primary focus of an elected Representative is neither constituents/ country nor allies, but to pimp into money that will finance re-election.
The media report OWS is not interested in limiting or otherwise changing Congressional terms, but the media are still owned by the 1%!
As clearly demonstrated in Britain, the media now find it substantially more profitable to create news than just report it.
Will "Occupy Wall Street" become "Occupy Congress"?
For many Americans, it IS a toss-up!
