North Dakota, South Dakota Line, ©99
Watercolor from the Sketchbook, 9" x 12"
Westering on a dirt road along the stateline, on the way to the ND SD MT tripoint, we explored the Dakotas.
I love to check out hay stacks in
different areas. Here they had big round ones.
In Montana they have huge 12 foot hay loaves that look like
giant loaves of bread.
Wyoming Morning, ©98
Watercolor from the sketch book of the 98 roadtrip.
We left at dawn in Wyoming on a tripoint search,
On these adventures we have discovered most
wonderful hidden corners
of the country and we have had so much fun. We also met some very nice
people, like the man who tried to pull us out of the
mud puddle we were stuck in, in the Arizona desert. Near the scene
above we were driving out on the range to visit the nearby tristate point, NE SD WY, when the tie-rod broke on the navyVan.
We hiked over to the nearest ranch, and met the rancher who owned the land, including the tri-state point.
He kindly towed us thirty miles to town for repairs on his truck.

Going back home again,
America being beautiful either way.
Field of Crows, Watercolor, 9" x 12"
I cannot remember where this was but I saw this field and fell in love with it.
