September 28th, 2004:The show on Friday was kind of a bust, the P.A. was crap. The 40 still melted faces with our ferocious brand of rock, you just couldn't hear us sing. A blessing and a curse...Anyway, the album artwork is getting into high gear, and we're rocking the socks off of everyone we come in contact to! I also took some time off of colouring to update the page! Look around, I'm sure you'll find things like 2 of the songs off of our new/old EP called "Keepers of the takes from Hell" The other songs on the EP will be Carstairs Blues, She's So Perfect, Kill Me Anyway, and Kenneth and His Cat. Those of you hardcore fans who bought Solar Powered Sex Machine will recognize two or three of the tunes (depending on which edition you own) and the other three are brand new "live off the studio floor" takes of our oldest songs. The EP will cost $5 by itself or $15 when bundled with Cougar Bait, which will cost $10 on its own.
September 21st:Jar has begun the transformation the will ultimately become our brand new website! Check out the 40 Photos section- there's only 20 so far but what the fuck! It's actually nice out here in Calgary. No use sitting on the net all day.
September 16th: Alright 40 fans a new gig has been confirmed on Friday, Sept. 24th. Inspected will be opening for Kiss the Queen and Kiss of Death at the Bankview Community Hall 2418 17th Street S.W. This is an all ages show so bring hidable booze, and our ongoing charity for unbroken things is still kickin. Anything unbroken TV'S, GUITARS and VIRGINS can all either be dropped at the headquarters or brought to the gig. See you there... and bring your shitkickers... things could get ugly...
September 10th, 2004:Inspected by 40 will be hosting a CD release party on Hallowe'en! Be there or be square! Also, big party at "The House" tomorrow!!! It'll be HUGE!!!!!
August 31st, 2004:Fuckin eh! Canada plays Slovakia at 5 pm, and Inspected by 40 has the copy of the master in their hot little hands (actually Jar has huge hands). So in less than a month, Cougar Bait will be available to the ravenous public! Go Canada Go!
July 7th, 2004:Greetings psychotic IB40 fans! Jar here to tell you about the new album: after a few weeks of partying, we are going back to Alchemy Studio on Friday to complete the masters.
Inspected by 40 has placed a few tracks on www.garageband.com for a contest. Although we haven't won yet, our songs were given mostly favourable reviews by a panel of like-minded independant musicians. This website is incredibly cool and if you are a musician, go there: you'll love it. And even if you don't play, there is tons of fantastic FREE music in every genre waiting to be discovered.
June 24th, 2004:The new album is still under construction after 10 days in the studio, but it is 89% complete. In a few months it will be available for sale, and it will melt your face off. Until the keep yourself busy by listening to 2 of the first tracks to be mastered. Check out the audio page!

May 21st, 2004:That's right fuckers the 40 is goin back to the studio starting in June to cut some trax. This will be our first full length album so keep checkin back for release details.

March 26th, 2004:Inspected by 40 will play the Back Alley on April Fool's Day! Appropriate, eh? So say fuck work, who cares about tomorrow, LET'S GET DRUNK!!!!! March 20th, 2004:We are in the process of getting a new press kit soon, and there are a few new pictures of us jammin! As well there is the very first picture of all FIVE of us!! Check out the Bio page for the group shot as well as the members page for our new mugshots.
As well we are looking at getting a few gigs in the near future. We'll keep you posted when they happen but tentatively we could be at Alberta's Own Hard Rock Weekend, The Back Alley and the Underground soon. Check back for when the rumour becomes fact!!!
February 6th, 2004:I know changing the last update doesn't count but look at our site, gig dates will appear soon...we've had a few practices and the songs we will debut at our next live show are Annihilation and New Tragedy. Even Sick Desires will sound better to the hardcore fans. ROCK ON!!!

November 24th, 2003:Lots of news this time around ladies and gentlemen. We would like to introduce to everyone Phil, our new Bass Player. This makes Kris our new Lead Guitar, and he will share that duty with the Motherfuckin' J.A.R!! Check out a picture of Phil on the Members page. Any hardcore surfers will have noticed a change in the backgrounds, sign the guestbook and tell me what you think! Jar is hard at work on a tribute to the Scout Hall Show on August 9th. And Cody and Clay are going to scan a picture of Mandy for all you young'uns from T.R. Thanks for all those who helped us climb over 1000 hits! You guys rock!

August 25th, 2003:Inspected by 40 will be playing September 7th at Braeside Community Centre, in Calgary, Alberta, eh. This is a double band Birthday, so come on out and celebrate Jar and Clay''s birthdays. We're playing early, so be there at 4:30. The show is priced at 8$, and is all ages, and there is a beer gardens is offered for all those fuckin drunks out there. Other bands include Dry Fisted, The Falling Pianos, The Beer Zombies, Ritual Incision, The Unreliables and Our Common Struggle.

May 30th, 2003: Clay, Cody, Jar and Kris have just come out of The Beach, Western Canada's finest studio on May 30th with a new 4 song demo! Recorded over the span of 3 days, 4 tracks were recorded.
