The Omega Factor:

In the aftermath of the destruction of Cybertronian Alpha, several of its crew are reassigned to a Maximal Military unit commanded by Orion Regus. The ranks of the unit are filled by Heretic, Squirrely and Jungle. Jungle joined the unit as a condition for his early release from prison.

Also in the unit was a mysterious ‘bot by the name of Vengeance. Vengeance claimed to be a clone of Pyre, developed in secret by the Predacon Alliance. Vengeance certainly looked the part - but it is now known that Vengeance is in fact Pyre's brother. The first assignment of the unit was to bring to justice a group of rogue Predacons that were responsible for destroying a Maximal science vessel. Vengeance as in the case of Pyre, did not get along with Squirrely from the start.

They track the rogue Predacons to a planet containing the deactivated Constructions - a Decepticon sub-group who fault during the Great War. Their power laid in their ability to combine into a giant robot known as ‘Devastater’. That was power the rogue Predacons wanted.

Things were going well for the Maximal unit until reinforcements arrived for the rogue Predacon band. Most of the Maximal unit was left in less then stellar shape and all the Predacons managed to escape. The one saving grace was that they escaped without Devastater. While out on patrol, a fight breaks out between Jungle and Vengeance but it ends with them being on reasonable terms – perhaps finding the same ‘mutual respect’ existed with Jungle and Pyre.

Once back on Cybertron, Jungle elected to rejoin the MSP. He was immediately assigned to accompany DeVin - who turns out to be an old flame of Jungle's - on a covert mission that involved the retrieval of a ‘component’ from the Maximal Science Center. Surprisingly enough, they were also joined by Vengeance who had been made an offer by the MSP that he ‘couldn’t refuse’. Maximal Internal Security (MIS) caught wind of the mission and sent a team commanded by Temperance to stop them along with Squirrely and Heretic.

A battle ensued, but the MSP team was able to retrieve what they were after. Later, Temperance was discharged from the MIS, for they felt he let Jungle go. He in fact had.

Vengeance reported to Orion Regus that Jungle died from injuries received during the MSP assignment.
