Pre-wedding dos and don'ts
|
Don't
-
Don't
schedule your bachelor/bachelorette party the night before the
wedding. You don't want a hangover on your wedding day.
- Just before D-Day don't have any alcohol. Limit yourself to a
glass of wine or champagne. Instead, drink plenty of water - it
will make you feel and look good for your wedding day.
- Don't drive if you've had too much to drink!
- Don't eat spicy foods or rich, heavy desserts. They may give
you indigestion.
- Don't try to do "everything" yourself. Delegate
responsibilities to your fiancé, your parents and to members of
your wedding party.
- Don't get involved in other activities just the day before
your wedding.
- Don't over do it! The day before the wedding is not the time
to begin packing for the honeymoon.
Do
- Do spend some quiet time alone to meditate or visualize your
wedding day.
- Do eat, don't just nibble. Eat well, you'll need plenty of
energy for the day ahead.
- Do maintain a sense of humor. Do spend time with people that
are close to you... your parents, your bridesmaids or your fiancé.
- Do try to spend some time with each of your personal guests at
home before the wedding, for a change for sometime.
- Do schedule de-stressors for yourself whether it's a massage,
facial, manicure, etc.
- Do something you enjoy that relaxes you, such as reading a
book or listening to soothing music.
- Do go to sleep early and sleep well. This may be difficult
with all of the excitement, but it will help to look fresh on the
D-day.
