The Lecture phase is held at the Gowriwakkam Madras centre (pictured here), between Velicheri and Tambaram in a quiet peaceful setting just south of Madras.
After the classroom training, it's on to an exciting outreach destination where you will have the opportunity to live what you've learned. The two month outreach will expose you to missions in a life-changing way and will ruin you for the ordinary things in life!
Purpose
The express purpose of the school is to see all who are involved grow in their passion for Jesus and in their passion for the lost. The world is dying to see Christians who are in love with Jesus and live like it. That is what the DTS is all about!

Outreach phase
During the outreach, opportunites are given for evangelism and for serving in practical ways. The outreaches are conducted in various other locations in India.
Missions opportunities after the DTS
Should you sense that God is calling you into missions, YWAM India has many opportunities for involvement in both active and support ministries. People with practical skills such as book keepers, cooks, secretaries, primary school teachers, mechanics and construction workers are essential for the existence and success of the centre. Other areas of ministry include mercy ministries, city outreach, and church and school ministry.
