Sail Away

She walked along the pier. Morning mist surrounded her. Carrying her back to memories thought to be long forgotten.

The ships were leaving to go fishing. She met him on a boat. She said goodbye to him on a boat. Thats was why she had to come here. To see the ocean. The ocean he was part of.

::Flashback::

She ran across the fishing boat. It was her dads. He wasa fisherman.

"Jacie come here. I want you to meet my new partner."

She ran across the boat to the tall man.

"Hello sir. My name is Jacie."

"Well hello Jacie. My name is Walker. You know I have a son about your age. He is over there with his mother.

"Daddy can I go say hi?"

"Sure honey."

She ran to the far end of the boat. He pigtails bouncing. There was a lady with long blonde hair. She had three boys around her. One only a baby.

"Hi. I'm Jacie."

"Hi Jacie. I'm Diana. These are my sons Zac, Taylor and Clarke."

"It's Isaac mom."

"Oh I forgot. Clarke likes to be called Isaac."

"Do you wanna come play Isaac? I have a swing set."

"Mom can I?"

"Yes. Just don't go any where else."

::End Flashback::

That started it. That one day formed the best friendship she ever had, but good things never last.

::Flashback::

"Jacie!"

"Ike!"

She ran, jumped on the boat, and gave Isaac a hug.

"So the college girl is home for a visit."

"Yes, and how are you doing mister expert fisherman?"

"Just fine. We're about to leave out again. We should be back by tonight though."

"Ok. I'll see you then."

She gave him another hug, stepped out of the boat, and watched him sail away.

::End Flashback::

The boat never came back. He never came back. Jacie stepped closer to the edge of the peir. She said a silent prayer before she jumped. She wanted to be part of the ocean too.
